At an informational meeting on February 24, 2026, the Groton Historic District Commission discussed a proposal that could place a Historic District designation on additional homes in our neighborhood — including yours.
Many residents are not yet aware that this designation does more than recognize historic buildings.
As a homeowner and someone who will be impacted by these rules, here are some of the things you need to know…
